3 switchport mode switchport mode Sets the mode of the Layer 2 interface. Synopsis switchport mode {access | trunk | converged} Operands access trunk converged Sets the Layer 2 interface as access. Sets the Layer 2 interface as trunk. Sets the layer 2 interface as converged. Defaults There are no defaults for this command. Command Interface configuration mode Modes Description Use this command to set the mode of the Layer 2 interface. Usage Guidelines With this command, the interface can be set to access mode for non-FCoE traffic, or converged mode for FCoE/non-FCoE traffic. However, the preferred way of configuring an interface for FCoE is with the command fcoeport with the port configured in access mode.
