Table 3.2 telnet: banner: TFTP Configuration File Parameters (3 of 3) If set to 0, this parameter instructs the print server not to allow incoming Telnet connections. To regain access, change the setting in the TFTP configuration file and power cycle the print server, or cold reset the print server to factory default values. If this parameter is set to 1, incoming Telnet connections are allowed. A port-specific parameter that specifies printing an LPD banner page. 0 disables banner pages. 1 (default) enables banner pages. Using DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP, RFC 2131/2132) is one of several auto configuration mechanisms that the HP Jetdirect print server uses. If you have a DHCP server on your network, the HP Jetdirect print server automatically obtains its IP address from that server and registers its name with any RFC 1001 and 1002-compliant dynamic name services. Using DHCP
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP, RFC 2131/2132)
is one of several auto configuration mechanisms that the
HP Jetdirect print server uses. If you have a DHCP server on
your network, the HP Jetdirect print server automatically
obtains its IP address from that server and registers its name
with any RFC 1001 and 1002-compliant dynamic name
services.
