Note Setting Page Count, Maintenance Count, and Serial Number The page count, maintenance count, and printer serial numbers are stored in Non-Volatile Memory. is the total number of images printed by the printer, is the page count when the next preventative maintenance should be performed (every 350,000 images), and is the printer serial number (also located on the printer back cover). If it is necessary to replace the Formatter PCA, these numbers should be set to the current values to accurately reflect the age of the print engine. The procedures for setting these values are listed in table 3-12. Before removing the old Formatter PCA, print a Configuration Page to verify the current values, if possible. If it is not possible to print a Configuration Page, try to verify the values before replacing the Formatter PCA by following steps 1 through 3, below.
