Figure D-2 shows an example of a configuration that has two or three c-Class enclosures with an external control node. Note: XC needs a managed ProCurve switch in the administration network to support auto-discovery. Smaller Cluster Platform Express BladeSystem configurations that do not need an external interconnect can be manually configured. D.1 Cabling Examples
The CPE BladeSystem with c7000 configurations use a combined administration, console, and
Gigabit Ethernet network. Each server blade is connected to the network through the onboard
NIC1 connection of the control node. The c-Class enclosure itself connects to the network through
an HP GbE2c switch, which is installed in IMB1 of the c-Class enclosure.
Figure D-1
shows the
connections for an example configuration with one c-Class enclosure, and with an external control
node.
Figure D-2
shows an example of a configuration that has two or three c-Class enclosures
with an external control node.
Note:
XC needs a managed ProCurve switch in the administration network to support auto-discovery.
Smaller Cluster Platform Express BladeSystem configurations that do not need an external
interconnect can be manually configured.
Figure D-1
shows an example of a cabling configuration for one c-Class enclosure configuration.
