If the control node is a server blade, Port 8 of the InfiniBand switch installed in Interconnect Module Bay 5/6 is wired to Port 8 of the InfiniBand switch installed in Interconnect Module Bay 7/8. If the configuration includes an external control node that is attached to the InfiniBand fabric, the InfiniBand HCA in the control node is connected to Port 8 of the InfiniBand switch in Interconnect Module Bay 5/6 and Port 8 of the InfiniBand switch in Interconnect Module Bay 7/8 is left unconnected.
