Figure B-2 Connecting to LocalTalk Networks The printer does not come with a LocalTalk network cable. Use a standard LocalTalk network cable and connector kit, such as the HP LocalTalk Network Cable Kit, part number 92215N. You will need one connector kit for each printer on the network, and another for each Macintosh computer on the network. Connecting to the END of a LocalTalk Network 1 3 2 4 Connecting to the END of a LocalTalk Network 1 Disconnect the printer from its power source. Insert the connector box cable into the LocalTalk port of the printer. 2 Insert one end of the cable into the new connector box. 3 If the connector box is not self-terminating, insert a terminating resistor into the connector box. 4 Insert the other end of the cable into the last connector box on the network. (Remove the terminating resistor if necessary.) 5 Reconnect the printer to its power source. B-2 I/O Information
