Setting Description Port Security From the menu, select whether port security is enabled for the port or LAG: • Disable. Port security is disabled. This is the default setting. • Enable. Port security is enabled. Max Allowed Dynamically Learned MAC The maximum number of dynamically learned MAC addresses that are allowed on the port. Enter a number in the range from 0 to 600. The default setting is 600. If you enter 0, the port cannot learn any dynamic MAC addresses. Max Allowed Statically Locked MAC The maximum number of dynamically learned MAC addresses that can be converted to static MAC addresses on the port or LAG. Enter a number in the range from 0 to 20. The default setting is 20. If you enter 0, the port cannot accept any static MAC addresses. Enable Violation Traps Note: For information about enabling the conversion from dynamically learned MAC addresses to static MAC addresses, see Enable Conversion of Dynamic to Static MAC Addresses on page 173. When a port or LAG receives a packet with a MAC address that is not allowed, the smart switch can generate an SNMP trap. From the menu, select whether violations generate SNMP traps: • Yes. The smart switch generates an SNMP trap. • No. The smart switch does not generate an SNMP trap. This is the default setting. 5. Click the Apply button. The settings are saved.
