Tips for Adapting Digit Dial ⅷ Adapt digits in a quiet place. ⅷ Make sure you wait for the beep before starting to speak. ⅷ Speak clearly, and say each digit distinctly. ⅷ If you make a mistake while recording a sequence of digits, or if there is an unexpected noise that spoils the recording, rerecord that sequence. ⅷ Adapt digit dialing only if you regularly have problems with digit dialing. Once adapted, digit dialing will not work as well for other people using your phone. Adapting Digit Dial to Your Voice 1. Tap the Start menu bar, and then tap Programs. 2. Tap the VoiceSignal icon. 3. Tap Settings. 4. Tap Digit Dialing. 5. Tap Adapt Digits. 6. Read the description until you are comfortable to proceed, and then tap OK. Your phone displays the first digit sequence and "Please say" plays through the speaker followed by the four digits appearing in the display. 7. Wait for the beep and repeat the digits using your normal tone of voice. 8. After a moment, the phone plays back the recording and prompts "Did the recording sound ok?" If the recording was good, say "Yes." If you need to rerecord, say "No." If you say "No," the phone prompts you to say the digits again. Wait for the beep and then rerecord.
