Decline in Print Qualify Problem The paper curls. Printed pages are curled. Solution You may need to turn over the stack of paper in your paper cassette and try printing again. Most paper has a natural "curl" that may be emphasized when the paper is run through a laser printer. One side of the paper tends to curl more than the other side. Another way to minimize paper curl is to use the face-up output tray. This tray provides a straight-through paper path, reducing excessive curling. To select faceup printing, move the paper path selector on the left side of the printer to the down position. If the SPECIAL button is set for the high fusing temperature (the # symbol is displayed), press the button to select the lower temperature setting (the # symbol is no longer displayed). (However, the lower temperature is not recommended for envelopes or heavy paper.) If these suggestions do not help, it is recommended that you use a different type of paper. 7-24 Troubleshooting
