DG410 Emulation Cursor Type This key enables you to change the appearance of the cursor. By default the cursor is displayed as a reverse video block. Pressing and releasing the Cursor Type key one or more times will cause the cursor display to change in the following order: Blinking underline Invisible cursor Blinking reverse video block Non-blinking reverse video block (default) Scroll Rate Scrolling is performed one line at a time by default (jump scrolling). The Scroll Rate key enables you to change the scrolling speed to one of three settings: 1. Press the key once to enable smooth scrolling. This will scroll five lines a second. 2. Press the key again to increase the smooth scroll rate to ten lines a second 3. Press the key again to return to jump scrolling mode. N/C Pressing this key will cause the display of the current text region to toggle between normal and compressed character spacing mode. In normal mode the display is 81 columns wide. Pressing the N/C key once will change the display width to 135 columns. Note that the margins will not be affected by this key. Composing Characters The Data General D410 keyboard has a SPCL key which enables you to generate characters from the DG International character set. TeemTalk enables you to generate the same characters by using the method described for the DEC VT320 emulation in the Keyboard Operation chapter. 11-5
