If you are finished configuring the director, back up the configuration data. For more information, refer to "Backup and Restore Configuration" on page 180. ■ Make sure that the system administrator varies devices offline that are attached to the ports whose addresses you are going to swap. ■ Ports that you are going to swap are blocked during this procedure, as swapping ports is disruptive to port operation. Collect Maintenance Data The Data Collection option enables you to collect maintenance data that can help support personnel diagnose system problems. Save the maintenance data as a zip file on a backup disk (or other medium with the appropriate capacity), and forward it to technical support personnel. Note: If the Full Volatility feature is enabled through the director's maintenance port, a memory dump file is not included with the data collection. To use this option, follow the detailed steps in the HP StorageWorks Director 2/64 Service Manual for the Director 2/64 and the HP StorageWorks Director 2/140 Service Manual for the Director 2/140.
