chapter 7_Subsidiary Information During playback Symptom No playback picture appears on TV screen. Playback picture is momentarily interrupted. Poor playback picture Playback picture is greatly distorted. No sound Disc Navigation thumbnails do not appear. Check to see Is the DVD camcorder connected to TV correctly? Is input selector of this DVD camcorder set to "LINE"? Is disc scratched or does dirt or fingerprint adhere to it? Was the image input from analog VCR (VHS, 8 mm) and recorded? Was recording of external input made with "FRAME" specified? Is the TV volume control set correctly? Was the image recorded from AV input/output jacks with interference? Correction Check the connections. Reference page 140 Change it to "CAMERA" mode. 143 Clean the disc. 38 The problem may be improved if a VCR equipped 144 with TBC circuit is used for playback. Specify "FIELD" for "External still input" in record 145 mode settings. Adjust TV volume control, and be sure to adjust the 140 volume on TV. Record image with no noise or - disturbance. 158
