Troubleshooting 361 Cannot scan from a computer Action Step 1 Make sure the scanner is turned on and that Ready appears on the scanner display before scanning a job. Yes Go to step 4. No Go to step 2. Does Ready appear before scanning the job? Step 2 Go to step 4. Turn off the scanner, then wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. Go to step 3. Does Ready appear before scanning the job? Step 3 a If an error message appears on the scanner display, then clear the message. b Resend the scan job. The problem is solved. Go to step 4. Are you able to scan from a computer? Step 4 The problem is solved. a Check the cable connections between the scanner and the print server to make sure they are secure. For more information, see the setup documentation that came with the scanner. b Resend the scan job. Contact customer support. Are you able to scan from a computer? Partial document or photo scans Action a Check the placement of the document or photo. Make sure the document or photo is loaded facedown on the scanner glass in the lower left corner. b Scan the document or photo again. Yes No The problem is solved. Contact customer support.
