Automatic channel allocation distributes channels across the managed access points to reduce interference. To disable automatic channel allocation, select the disable radio button. Valid corporate channels Specify the WiFi band by selecting the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz check box. For each WiFi band, the following applies: • You can remove one or more channels from the list of available channels by clearing their check boxes. For example, you might want to avoid interference with competing equipment such as in a medical environment in which medical devices use a specific channel. • You cannot add channels. The wireless controller determines available channels based on the country or region that you specified on the General Settings page (see Configure the General Settings on page 100). To run channel allocation immediately, click the
Run Now
button.
The selected channels are applied to the managed access points. This option is useful
when you add a new access point or change your network.
