> CAUTION: Never touch areas labelled as "High Voltage." You can get an electric shock. Never touch a labelled area found on or near the heat roller. You can get burned. If a sheet of paper is wrapped around the heat roller, do not try to remove it by yourself to avoid injuries or burns. Switch off the machine immediately, and contact your service provider. • Remove any remaining pieces of paper. • Remove any dust or stains with a dry clean cloth. WHEN NOT IN USE FOR A LONG TIME Carry out the following procedure if you are not going to use the printer for a long period of time. 1. Press the power switch to the position to turn the power off. 2. Remove all connection cords, such as the power cord and interface cables. See "Rear View" on page 9 for connector diagrams. 3. Remove the paper from the paper trays and store it in a location free of humidity and dust. NOTE > for details on storing the paper MOVING THE PRINTER Carry out the following procedure when moving the printer. CAUTION > When lifting the machine, get a firm footing and bend your knees to avoid possible injuries to your back NOTE > The weight of this printer, without the optional accessories, paper tray, consumables and paper, is 41.0 kg or 90 lbs. If the optional duplex module or tray module has been installed, uninstall it before moving the printer. Otherwise, they may fall to the ground and cause injuries.
