General Volume Information Panel Table 269. General Volume Information Panel Field Status Status iSCSI access Description Status of the volume Type of iSCSI access for the volume: • unrestricted - Volume is open to all iSCSI initiators. • restricted - Volume is open only to iSCSI initiators with a certain CHAP user name, IP address, or initiator name. • no access - Volume is not open to iSCSI initiators. Access type Access type of the volume: • read-only - You can only read the contents of the snapshot. • read-write - You can change the contents of the snapshot. • shared - Multiple iSCSI qualified names (IQN) can connect to the snapshot at one time. • not shared - Only one iSCSI qualified name (IQN) can connect to the snapshot at one time. iSCSI connections Description General settings Volume name Template Reported size Sector size Number of iSCSI connections to the volume Description of the volume. This field appears only if a description was provided by the user. Name of the volume Visible when a thin clone is selected. Click the template volume name to display its details. NOTE: A template volume is useful if your environment requires multiple volumes that share a large amount of common data. Size of the volume, in MB, GB, or TB. NOTE: Volume capacities displayed in the Group Manager GUI can be rounded up by as much as 15MB. This normal behavior is the result of the array's internal calculations for capacity allocation. Size of the sector. The sector size of a volume does not depend on the sector size of the physical drives in the array. The default volume setting of 512 bytes is almost always optimal, even if the physical drives use 4K-byte sectors. You cannot change the size after creating the volume. Tags Tags (tag names and values) Click to open the Pick tags for volume dialog box. From there, you can select other tags to associate to the volume.
