Member capacity depends on the number and size of the installed disks and the selected RAID policy. NOTE: If free member space is low, you can increase the member capacity by adding disk drives (if empty slots are available) or by replacing the current drives with higher-capacity drives. You can also add more group members to increase overall group capacity. On compression-capable members, the following information is also available: Table 318. Snapshot and Replica Set Compression Field Description Expanded Size The space required if all compressed snapshots stored on that member were rehydrated. Compressed Size The space currently being used by all compressed snapshots on that member. Space Savings The total amount of space savings; the difference between the Expanded Size and the Compressed Size. Memory Cache Panel Table 319. Memory Cache Panel Field Description Shortcut Cache mode Cache mode for the active control module. The options are: • Write-back - The member stores data in the cache until it is written to disk drives, which can improve performance. The cache battery protects the data in the cache. The member mirrors cache data across the two control modules, providing additional data protection. • Write-through - The member immediately writes data to the disk drives, which might decrease performance. None Use write-through mode If you enable this policy on a member with a single control module, the cache always Alt+U if only one controller is uses write-through mode.
