Field Warning limit Description Select the Enable data reduction checkbox to activate the Modify policy button. Enabling data reduction permanently removes the snapshot reserve functionality from the NAS container. Shortcut Percentage of the snapshot reserve that, when reached by in-use snapshot reserve, None causes an event message to be sent. The minimum in-use space warning limit is 10% of the snapshot reserve; the maximum is 100%. Modify NDMP Settings Dialog Box Table 336. Modify NDMP Settings Dialog Box Field Description Shortcut User Name User name for the NDMP server. The default user name is backup_user. You can Alt+U modify the user name. User names can contain up to 63 ASCII characters, and can include hyphens and underscores. Password You must specify a password. The default NDMP password is a randomized string of Alt+P characters and must be changed before taking the first backup. NDMP passwords accept up to 32 ASCII characters, spaces, and punctuation except quotation marks. Confirm Password Retype the password to confirm it. Alt+M Port Specifies the port (default is 10000) on which the NDMP server "listens" for Alt+T incoming connections from a DMA server. You can specify a different value for the port. Changing this value to an in-use port disables the NDMP service. To correct this situation, change the port number to an unused value and then enable the NDMP service. Table 337.
