The interface must be enabled (the no shutdown command) and not have the switchport command configured. Multicast must also be enabled globally (using the ip multicast-lag-hashing command). PIM is supported on the port-channel interface. ip multicast-lag-hashing - enables multicast globally. ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-timer Enable expiry timers globally for all sources, or for a specific set of (S,G) pairs defined by an access list. C-Series, E-Series, S-Series, Z-Series, S4810 Syntax Parameters ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-timer seconds [access-list name] To disable configured timers and return to default mode, use the no ip pim sparsemode sg-expiry-timer command. seconds access-list name Enter the number of seconds the S, G entries are retained. The range is 211 to 86400. (OPTIONAL) Enter the name of a previously configured Extended ACL to enable the expiry time to specified S,G entries. Defaults Command Modes Disabled. The default expiry timer (with no times configured) is 210 sec. CONFIGURATION 1138
