SECTION 13 - MESSAGES, ABBREVIATIONS, & NAV TERMS Message Description Stored data was lost All user waypoints, flight plans, and system settings have been lost due to a memory battery failure or system reset. Terrain See Section 10.3 for complete list of TERRAIN related Alerts and Annunciations. Terrain configuration conflict The hardware configuration does not match the terrain software configuration. The operational status of the terrain components is unknown and the unit should be returned to a Garmin dealer for service. Terrain configuration has changed The software has detected a change in the terrain configuration. Terrain has failed The terrain functionality self-test has failed. The operational status of the terrain components is unknown and the unit should be returned to a Garmin dealer for service. Timer has expired The count down timer has reached zero. Traffic device needs service Either the TCAD battery or the TCAD interrogation device has failed. If the message persists, contact a Garmin dealer for assistance. Unit configuration has changed The GNC 420 has detected a failure (during initial power up) in its system configuration. Some system components may be unusable. Try cycling power off and back on. If the message persists, contact a Garmin dealer for assistance. User card format unknown A data card has been inserted, but the format of the card is not recognized. Waypoint already exists The name entered for a user waypoint already exists in memory. Waypoint(s) have been replaced One or more user waypoints were updated during a unit-to-unit crossfill operation. Waypoint memory is All 1000 user waypoint locations in the GNC 420's memory have been used. Delete full unwanted waypoints to make room for new entries. 190-00140-20 Rev.
