SECTION 5 FLIGHT PLANS Shortcuts A number of shortcuts are available to save time when using the Active Flight Plan Page. These shortcuts speed the process of removing approaches, departures, and arrivals, and aid in selecting a specific flight plan leg for navigation guidance. On the preceding page, options to remove approaches, departures, and arrivals were introduced. This process may also be completed using the CLR Key, as described below. Removing an approach, departure, or arrival using the CLR Key: 1) With the Active Flight Plan Page displayed, press the small right knob to activate the cursor. 2) Turn the large right knob to highlight the title for the approach (Figure 5-33), departure, or arrival to be deleted. Titles appear in light blue directly above the procedure's waypoints. 3) Press the CLR Key to display a confirmation window (Figure 5-34). Figure 5-34 Remove Approach Window 4) With 'Yes?' highlighted, press the ENT Key to remove the selected procedure. This same process may also be used to remove individual waypoints from the active flight plan. Removing a waypoint using the CLR Key: 1) With the Active Flight Plan Page displayed, press the small right knob to activate the cursor. 2) Turn the large right knob to highlight the identifier for the waypoint to be deleted. Identifiers appear in green text. 3) Press the CLR Key to display a confirmation window (Figure 5-35).
