When the format is complete, you see these messages (for a 720KB diskette): Format complete 730112 bytes total disk space 730112 bytes available on disk Format another (Y/N)? You can format another diskette or return to the OPERATION MENU. Then press 3 and Enter to select System diagnostics. Starting the floppy disk drive check To run the floppy disk drive check, select option 6 from the DEVICE LIST. After you choose the number of times to run the test, the screen displays this menu: FLOPPY DISK DRIVE(S) AND CONTROLLER CHECK MENU 1 - Sequential seek check 2 - Random seek check 3 - Write, read check 4 - Speed check 5 - Run all above checks 0 - Exit Enter selection number: Before any checks are performed, the program determines the number of diskette drives installed in or connected to your computer. If you have more than one drive, you see this prompt each time you select a test: Check which drive (A/B)? Press A or B and then Enter. If any errors occur during the checks, record the error code and message and contact your Epson dealer. Always have the diskette drive serviced by your Epson dealer. To run the floppy disk drive check, select option 6 from
the DEVICE LIST. After you choose the number of times to
run the test, the screen displays this menu:

2 - Random seek check
3 - Write, read check
4
- Speed check
5 - Run all above checks
0 - Exit
Enter selection number:
Before any checks are performed, the program determines
the number of diskette drives installed in or connected to your
computer. If you have more than one drive, you see this
prompt each time you select a test:
Check which drive (A/B)?
Press

and then
Enter.
If any errors occur during the checks, record the error code
and message and contact your Epson dealer. Always have the
diskette drive serviced by your Epson dealer.
