Appendix B Troubleshooting You should not encounter any serious difficulties as you set up and use your Equity LT. But if anything out of the ordinary happens, read this appendix. Usually, such a situation requires nothing more than adjusting a cable connection, repeating a software procedure, or resetting the computer. You can use the suggestions here to solve most problems you may encounter. If you suspect there is a problem with some part of your hardware, try running some or all of the system diagnostics, described in Appendix D. If you cannot resolve the problem, consult an Epson dealer about servicing the computer. WARNING If you need to turn off the computer for any reason, always wait at least five seconds before you turn it back on. You can damage the Equity LT if you turn it off and on rapidly. Error Messages If the screen displays an error message during the power-on diagnostics, see Appendix C. If the screen displays an error message while you are running system diagnostics, described in Appendix D, check the error message table at the end of that appendix for the cause. Then give the information to your Epson dealer. The Computer Fails to Start Up If the computer does not start up when you turn on the power switch, follow these steps to find a solution: 1. requires nothing more than adjusting a cable connection,
repeating a software procedure, or resetting the computer.
You can use the suggestions here to solve most problems
you may encounter. If you suspect there is a problem with some
