Removing the IBM ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATA controller To remove the IBM ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATA controller from the server, complete the following steps: 1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and "Installation guidelines" on page 47. 2. Turn off the server and all attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords and external cables. 3. Unlock and remove the side cover (see "Removing the side cover" on page 52). 4. If you are replacing the ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATA controller, disconnect the signal cables from the controller and the power cable from the power supply; then, remove the controller from the server. 5. If you are instructed to return the adapter, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you. Chapter 4. Removing the IBM ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATA controller
To remove the IBM ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATAcontroller from the server,
complete the following steps:
1.

on page 47.
2.
Turn off the server and all attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords
and external cables.
3.
Unlock and remove the side cover (see “Removing the side cover” on page 52).
4.
If you are replacing the ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATA controller, disconnect the
signal cables from the controller and the power cable from the power supply;
then, remove the controller from the server.
5.
If you are instructed to return the adapter, follow all packaging instructions, and
use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
