- BMC Serial Port Access Mode Select this choice to set the mini-BMC access mode for the system serial port. Shared is the default setting. You can choose from the following access modes: Shared The serial port is available for use by POST and the operating system, however, the mni-BMC can still monitor the serial data for a take-control sequence. Pre-Boot The mini-BMC has control of the serial port before the operating system is booted, however, after the operating system is booted, the mini-BMC will not have access to the serial port until you turn off the server or reset the settings. Dedicated The mini-BMC has complete control of the serial port. POST and the operating system will not be allowed to use the serial port. Disabled The mini-BMC has access to the serial port. - Reboot System on NMI This option sets the mini-BMC timer to automatically reboot the server after an NMI occurs. Enabled is the default setting. - User Account Settings Select this choice to view the user account settings for the mini-BMC. - BMC Network Configuration Select this choice to configure specific network settings for the mini-BMC. - BMC System Event Log Select this choice to view the mini-BMC system-event log, which contains all system-error messages that have been generated. Use the arrow keys to move among pages in the log. Run the diagnostic programs to get more information about the error codes. Select Clear BMC System Event Log to clear the mini-BMC system-event logs. v Event/Error Logs Select this choice to view or clear error logs. - System Event/Error Log Select this choice to view the system-event and error messages that the system generated during POST and run time. by the SMI handler and by the service processor. The most recent event or error is displayed first. Use the Down Arrow key to view the older entries, and use the Up Arrow key to view the newer entries.
