Clearing jams • Make sure the media size in the sources matches the size setting selected from the operator panel menus. • Make sure all cables that connect to the printer are correctly attached. See the Setup sheet for more information. Identifying the media path The following illustration shows the path that media travels through the printer. The path varies depending on the input source (tray 1 or tray 2) and if a duplex (two-sided) print job is being sent. When a jam occurs, the printer issues a message indicating the region of the jam. Only the three-digit jam prefix numbers are given in the following illustration.
