Page 90 highlights

9 Troubleshooting Solving basic printer problems Sometimes printer problems or an unresponsive printer are very easy to solve. When a problem occurs, first make sure that: • The printer power cord is plugged into the printer and a properly grounded electrical outlet. • The printer power switch is on. • The electrical outlet is not turned off by any switch or breaker. • Other electrical equipment plugged into the outlet is working. • The printer driver settings are correct. • All options are properly installed. If all of the problems listed are checked, and a problem still exists, turn the printer power off, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn the printer power on. This often fixes the problem. Note: If an error message appears, see the Menus and Messages Guide located on the publications CD for more information. Troubleshooting 90

Solving basic printer problems
Sometimes printer problems or an unresponsive printer are very easy to solve. When a problem occurs, first make sure
that:
The printer power cord is plugged into the printer and a properly grounded electrical outlet.
The printer power switch is on.
The electrical outlet is not turned off by any switch or breaker.
Other electrical equipment plugged into the outlet is working.
The printer driver settings are correct.
All options are properly installed.
If all of the problems listed are checked, and a problem still exists, turn the printer power off, wait for about 10 seconds, and
then turn the printer power on. This often fixes the problem.
