Connecting with a Data Cable To use a data cable to connect your phone to a laptop, handheld device, or desktop computer: 1 Open the connector cover. Using Your Phone as a Modem 2 With the phone's display facing up, insert a data cable's connector into the accessory connector, until you hear a click. connector cover 3 Insert the data plug into the data port of the other device. Connecting with Bluetooth To use your phone as a modem via Bluetooth, the laptop, handheld device, or desktop computer you want to connect to must have a Bluetooth adapter installed. Check that the adapter is properly installed, and then follow the specific instructions outlined in the device's user guide to connect the device to your phone. 57
