Setting User Name User Type Password Description Enter a unique user name. Only alphanumerical characters and underscore characters (_) are supported. From the menu, select the type of user, which determines the users's access to the wireless controller's web management interface. • Administrator. Full access with read and write capabilities. • Read Only. Read-only access that is restricted to the Monitor and Help main navigation tabs. • Guest Provisioning. Access that is restricted to the User Management configuration menu tab under the Maintenance main navigation tab. • License Management Only. Access that is restricted to the License configuration menu tab under the Maintenance main navigation tab. Enter a password in the Password field. Confirm the password in the Confirm Password field. 7. Click the Apply button. The user is added to the table on the User Management screen. Add a WiFi User You can add a user who is allowed to access the wireless network but who does not need to go through the captive portal or the guest portal. (The web management interface refers to WiFi users as WiFi clients.) To add a WiFi user: 1. Open a web browser. In the browser's address field, type the http:// followed by the IP address that you assigned to the wireless controller. By default, the IP address is 192.168.0.250. If you have not yet assigned another IP address to the wireless controller, type http://192.168.0.250. The wireless controller's login screen displays. 2. Enter your user name and password.
