Getting Started Installing the Battery Caution • This camera uses the rechargeable lithium-ion battery D-LI63. Use of any other type of battery may damage the camera and cause malfunction. • If the battery is incorrectly inserted, malfunction may result. 1 • Do not remove the battery while the camera is turned on. • If the camera will not be used for a long period of time, remove the battery. • The date and time may revert to the default setting if the battery is removed from the camera for an extended period of time.
