SCSI backplane, Hot-swap hard disk drive backplane assembly

1. Turn off server and disconnect all external cables and power cords. 2. Remove the cover. See "Removing the cover and bezel" on page 42. 3. Disconnect the cable, connector (J18), from the system board. 4. Remove the screw 1 . 5. Carefully pull out drive 2 to remove. To remove the hot-swap hard disk drive backplane: 1. Turn off server and disconnect all external cables and power cords. 2. Remove the cover. See "Removing the cover and bezel" on page 42. 3. Disconnect all cables connected to the backplane. 4. Remove the screw 1 from the top of the assembly. 5. Gently slide the SCSI backplane assembly 2 up to remove. Turn off server and disconnect all external cables and power cords.

Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover and bezel” on page 42.
3.
Disconnect the cable, connector (J18), from the system board.
4.
Remove the screw

Carefully pull out drive

to remove.

To remove the hot-swap hard disk drive backplane:
1.
Turn off server and disconnect all external cables and power cords.
2.
Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover and bezel” on page 42.
3.
Disconnect all cables connected to the backplane.
4.
Remove the screw
±1²
from the top of the assembly.
5.
Gently slide the SCSI backplane assembly
±2²
up to remove.
