Baking Automatic Programs  Follow the instructions on the display. Convection Bake  Use this operating mode if you are baking on multiple shelf levels at the same time. You can use any type of bakeware made of heat-resistant material. Because the blower distributes the heat around the oven compartment straight away, you can use a lower temperature than you would with the Surround  operating mode. Surround  Use this operating mode for cooking traditional recipes. If using an older recipe or cookbook, set the oven temperature 50°F (10°C) lower than that recommended. This will not change the cooking duration. Only bake on one level. If you are making a tray bake, use level 3. If you are making a cake in a cake pan, select level 2. Intensive  This operating mode is suitable for baking cakes with moist toppings, pizza, quiche, etc. Place the food on shelf level 1. Bake  Use this operating mode toward the end of cooking to brown the base of the food. Browning  Use this operating mode toward the end of cooking to brown the top of food. This operating mode is suitable for gratins and for browning bakes. Humidity Plus  Use this operating mode for baking batter and frozen lye mixtures. 146

Convection Bake 
Use this operating mode if you are bak-
ing on multiple shelf levels at the same
time.
You can use any type of bakeware
made of heat-resistant material.
Because the blower distributes the heat
around the oven compartment straight

Surround 
Use this operating mode for cooking
traditional recipes. If using an older
