Preheat, Turning on Preheat, Crisp function

Operation Preheat You can place most dishes in the cold oven compartment to make use of the heat produced during the preheating phase. If you have set a cooking duration, it will only start to count down when the target temperature is reached and you have placed the food in the oven. Start the cooking program immediately without delaying the start time. Turning on Preheat The Preheat function has to be turned on separately for each cooking program. Example: You have selected an operating mode and the required settings such as the temperature. You want to turn on the Preheat function for this cooking program.  Drag down the pull-down menu. Depending on the color scheme, Preheat is highlighted in either black or white.  Select Preheat. Preheat is highlighted in orange.  Close the pull-down menu. The following message will be displayed with a time: Place food in oven at . The oven compartment is heated to the set temperature.  As soon as you are prompted to do so, place the food in the oven.  Confirm with OK. Crisp function The Crisp function function (moisture reduction) allows moisture to be removed from the oven as required during the entire cooking process or at times during the process. It is a good idea to use this function when cooking items which have a moist topping, e.g., quiche, pizza, tray bakes with fresh fruit toppings, or muffins. Poultry in particular gets a nice crisp skin with this function. The Crisp function function can be used in the following operating modes: - Convection Bake  - Convection Roast  - Surround  - Intensive  - Bake  - Browning  - Convection Broil  - Humidity Plus  70
