Call Settings Call Settings You can use Call Settings to select how your phone handles calls, both voice and data calls. Call Answer You can select a specific answer mode when you receive an incoming call. 1. At the Settings menu, press ghi (for Call Settings), and for Call Answer. The Call Answer sub-menu with the following options appears in the display: • Any Key - Press any key except, , the soft keys ( Volume key to answer an incoming call. ), or the • Send Key - Press to answer an incoming call. • Flip Open - Open the flip or press to answer an incoming call. Tip: You can set your phone to answer calls automatically, without any input from you. (See "Auto Answer" on page 134. for more information.) 2. Use the Navigation key to highlight the method you wish to use for answering calls, then press the key. Auto Answer Auto Answer enables your phone to automatically answer calls after a period of time that you specify. 1. At the Settings menu, press ghi (for Call Settings), and abc for Auto Answer. The following options appear in the display: • Off - Disables automatic answering of calls • After 1 Second - Phone automatically answers calls after 1 second • After 3 Seconds - Phone automatically answers calls after 3 seconds • After 5 Seconds - Phone automatically answers calls after 5 seconds 2. Use the Navigation key to highlight the desired setting, then press the key. Auto Retry Auto Retry automatically re-dials a number if the connection fails. Depending upon your location, the number of times your phone automatically dials the number may vary. Changing Your Settings 134
