(Serves 3-4) INGREDIENTS 15m1s/ltblsp oil 450g/llb minced beef 1 onion, peeled and chopped 450mIs/ 3/4 pint hot beef stock dash of worcester sauce 10mIs/2 tsps dried mixed herbs 15m1s/1 tblsp tomato puree salt and pepper 10m1s/2 tsps cornflour mixed to a smooth paste with a little cold water Optional Additions : 1-2 carrots peeled and sliced 2-3 mushrooms, washed and sliced COOKWARE Large microwaveproof casserole dish with lid, Place on turntable. METHOD 1. Place mince, onion and oil in a large microwaveproof casserole dish. Cover with a lid and cook using microwave 900W for 3-4 minutes. Stir twice and break up the mince with a fork. 2. Add all the remaining ingredients (except cornflour) and mix well. Cover and cook using microwave 900W for 5 minutes. 3. Add the cornflour mixture and stir well. Re-cover the dish and return to the oven. Continue to cook using microwave 450W for 15-20 minutes. 4. After cooking stir well and serve. (Serving suggestion; Cottage Pie - Top with mashed potato and crisp the top under a hot grill). Microwave Tip Warm Red Wine. Bring cold red wine to room temperature by pouring into a large jug and microwaving on 900W for a few seconds. 28
