Encoder strip is contaminated with dust. Encoder strip is contaminated with oil. Check the Carriage motor operation referring to (4) The carriage motor does not rotate. Result YES YES YES _ Remedy Remove it out. Blow the dust out with a air brush. Replace it. (6) The fan motor does not rotate. Possible cause Connection failure of connector P6. Fan motor Driver circuit Step 1 2 Check Is the connector P6 on the driver PCB securely connected? Turn the power switch OFF and disconnect the P6 connector (Driver PCB). Turn the power switch ON and measure the voltage between the terminals. Does the measured voltage satisfy the value in the table below? Result NO YES NO Remedy Connect it securely. Replace the fan motor. Replace the driver PCB. Replace the Main PCB. P6-1 and P6-2 Approx. 25V (7) Fan 15 ASSY (for HS-5000) or Fan 25 ASSY (for HS-5300) does not rotate. Possible cause Connection failure of connector P19. Fan 15 ASSY or Fan 25 ASSY. Driver circuit Step 1 2 Check . Result Is the connector P19 on the NO driver PCB securely connected? Turn the power switch OFF and disconnect the P19 connector YES (Driver PCB). NO Turn the power switch ON and measure the voltage between the terminals. Does the measured voltage satisfy the value on the table below? Remedy Connect it securely. Replace the Fan 15 ASSY or Fan 25 ASSY. Replace the driver PCB. Replace the Main PCB.
