2.7.2 Paper Advance Mechanism The paper advance mechanism is composed of two PA rollers, a 400 step hybrid stepper motor and the timing belt. The speed reduction ratio between the PA motor and PA roller is 1/4.5 and paper is fed by 1/300 inches in 3 steps (2-2 phases). After the paper fed from the regist roller is transported to the print position on the M-platen by the PA upper roller, printing starts. The printed paper is delivered by the PA lower roller.
