Printing materials are sometimes referred to as "media", and you will see this word used in your printer's front panel. q Choosing the correct printing material for your needs is an essential step in ensuring good image quality. For best printing results, use only genuine Hewlett-Packard printing materials, whose reliability and performance have been developed and thoroughly tested. All HP printing components (printer, ink system, and printing materials) have been designed to work together to give trouble-free performance and optimal image quality. q Your printer supports many types of printing materials. However, the quality of some images may be reduced if you do not use the correct printing material for your image. See printing materials and applications. q Whenever you load a roll or a sheet, the printer's front-panel display prompts you to specify the media type you are loading. It is essential to specify this correctly for good image quality. If printing material is already loaded, you can verify the media type from the front panel.
