how do I adjust the heater? hp designjet 5500 series welcome how do I ... tell me about ... the problem is ... legal notices glossary index how do I adjust the heater? By default, the heater is set to work automatically, varying the level of heat according to the type of printing material. In most cases, this automatic setting will give the best results. However, you may want to adjust the heat manually in unusual atmospheric conditions, or if you are using a non-HP printing material. To do this, choose the icon, then Device Setup > Heater > Manual, and then select from 10 to 100% of maximum heat. Increasing the heat will tend to dry the ink faster, but note that too much heat can cause image quality defects. You can also use the front panel to turn off the heat completely: choose the icon, then Device Setup > Heater > None. see also tell me about the heater © 2002 hewlett-packard company file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/---/Desktop/HP/html/p1009.htm [8/5/2002 5:06:34 PM]
