If no password has been set you are prompted to set one when you access User password, but you are not obliged to do so. If a password has been set, clicking on User password will request the password. The password can be used to restrict job management permissions and to change the printer's configuration. If a password is set, you will be asked to enter it when you try to access the "User password" page. Once you have reached this page, you are allowed to change the password.
