Chapter 4 C Commands clear zone Send documentation comments to [email protected] clear zone To clear all configured information in the zone server for a specified VSAN, use the clear zone command in EXEC mode. clear zone {database | lock | statistics {lun-zoning | read-only-zoning}} vsan vsan-id Syntax Description database lock statistics lun-zoning read-only-zoning vsan vsan-id Clears zone server database information. Clears a zone server database lock. Clears zone server statistics. Clears LUN-zoning related statistics. Clears read-only zoning related statistics. Clears zone information for a VSAN. The ID of the VSAN is from 1 to 4093. Defaults None. Command Modes EXEC mode. Command History Release 1.0(2) 3.0(1) Modification This command was introduced. Added the lock option. Usage Guidelines After issuing a clear zone database command, you need to explicitly issue the copy running-config startup-config to ensure that the running configuration is used when you next start the switch. When you issue the clear zone lock command from a remote switch, only the lock on that remote switch is cleared. When you issue the clear zone lock command from the switch where the lock originated, all locks in the VSAN are cleared. Note The recommended method to clear a session lock on a switch where the lock originated is by issuing the no zone commit vsan command.
