2 nsAliasShow nsAliasShow Displays local Name Server (NS) information, with aliases. Synopsis nsaliasshow [-r -t] Description Use this command to display local name server information with the added feature of displaying the defined configuration aliases to which the device belongs. The following message is displayed if there is no information in this switch: There is no entry in the Local Name Server The command nsAllShow displays information from all switches. The display resulting from this command is identical to the command nsShow, with the exception of an additional line listing the aliases to which the device belongs. If there are no defined configuration aliases for that device, no alias is displayed. Operands This command has the following operands: -r Replaces the time-to-live (TTL) attribute output in the display with state change registration (SCR) information in the display. This value indicates what type of registered state change notification (RSCN) a device registers to receive. Values include: SCR=0 Reserved. SCR=1 Fabric detected registration. Register to receive all RSCN requests issued by the fabric controller for events detected by the fabric. SCR=2 Nx_Port detected registration. Register to receive all RSCN requests issued for events detected by the affected Nx_Port. SCR=3 Register to receive all RSCN requests issued. The RSCN request returns all affected N_Port_ID pages. -t Displays the device type. Of the two device type parts, the first part indicates the origination of the device. Currently, four originations are defined: • Physical - Device connected to the Nx_Port, using FLOGI to log in to the switch. • Virtual - Contrived device by the switch. • NPV - Device connected to the Nx_Port, using FDISC to log in to the switch. • iSCSI - Device connected to the iSCSI port. The second part indicates the role of the device. Currently, four roles are defined: • Unknown (initiator/target) - Device role is not detected. • Initiator- An iSCSI initiator. • Target- An iSCSI target. • Initiator+Target- Both an iSCSI initiator and an iSCSI target. 362 Fabric OS Command Reference 53-1000599-02
