Fabric OS reference guide The download can fail for any of the following reasons: ■ The switch has not been disabled. ■ The host name is not known to the switch. ■ The host IP address cannot be contacted. ■ The user does not have permission on the host. ■ The user runs a script that prints something at login. ■ The file does not exist on the host. ■ The file is not a switch configuration file. ■ The RSHD or FTP server is not running on the host. ■ The configuration data contains errors. When the switch is in secure mode, the following rules and restrictions apply: ■ Both defined security policies and active security policies sections must exist and contain the FCS_POLICY. ■ In the defined security policies section, at least one member of the FCS_POLICY must be the same as a member in the previous FCS_POLICY. ■ In the active security policies section, the FCS_POLICY must be exactly the same as the previous FCS_POLICY; order of members must be maintained. ■ If either security policies section has an RSNMP_POLICY, that section must have a WSNMP_POLICY. ■ After the switch is enabled, if the switch is the primary FCS, its security and zoning information is propagated to all other switches in the fabric. ■ After the switch is enabled, if the switch is a non-FCS or a backup FCS, its security and zoning information are overwritten by the primary FCS. 162 Fabric OS 3.x Document Addendum
