Using a Printer Server X Start the print server by entering the following from the console of the NetWare server. If the print server is in operation, quit and restart it. ❖ To exit CAREE: unload pserver ❖ To start CAREE: load pserver print_server_name Setting Up as a Remote Printer (NetWare 3.x) Follow the procedure below to use the printer as a remote printer under NetWare 3.x. Setting up using NIB Setup Tool A Log on to the file server as a supervisor or supervisor equivalent. B Start NIB Setup Tool from [Start] menu. C Click [Property Sheet], and then click [OK]. D Select the printer you want to configure, and then click [Finish]. A dialog box prompting you to perform the remaining configuration tasks in the Web browser appears. Click [OK], and then wait until Web Image Monitor starts automatically. E A dialog box for entering the user name and password appears. Enter the user name and password, and then click OK. ❒ For details about passwords, consult your network administrator. F Click [Configuration] in the left area, click [Network], and then click [NetWare]. The following items are displayed: • Print Server Name: Enter the NetWare print server name. To use the inter- face board as a print server, enter the name of a print server that is not active on the file server. Use up to 47 single byte characters. • Logon Mode: Specify whether to designate a file server or NDS tree when logging on to NetWare. • File Server Name: When a file server name is entered here, only the specified file server is searched for. This item is mandatory. Use up to 47 single byte characters. 278
