Up to six AC power supplies can be installed in a J-EX8200 switch. All AC power supplies install in the front of the chassis in the slots provided at the bottom. See "Slot Numbering for a J-EX8216 Switch" on page 14. Before you install an AC power supply in the switch: • Ensure you understand how to prevent ESD damage. See "Prevention of Electrostatic Discharge Damage on J-EX Series Switches" on page 230. Ensure that you have the following parts and tools available to install an AC power supply in a J-EX8200 switch chassis: • Electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap • Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 1 NOTE: Each AC power supply must be connected to a dedicated AC power source outlet. 114
