Dell PowerConnect J-Series J-EX8216 Ethernet Switch Hardware Guide Table 19: Network Port LEDs on Line Cards in a J-EX8200 Switch-Link/Activity LED LED Color State and Description Link/Activity Green • On steadily-The port and the link are active, but there is no link activity. • Blinking-The port and the link are active, and there is link activity. • Off-The port is not active. The LEDs labeled Status in Figure 21 on page 37, Figure 22 on page 37, and Figure 23 on page 37 indicate the status of one of the three port parameters. The port parameters are administrative status, duplex mode, and speed. Table 20 on page 38 describes the Status LED. From the Idle menu of the LCD, use the Enter button on the LCD panel to toggle between the ADM, DPX, and SPD indicators. The status indicators are: • Green-Administrative status enabled. • Unlit-Administrative status disabled. Indicates the duplex mode. The status indicators are: • Green-Port is set to full-duplex mode. • Unlit-Port is not set to full-duplex mode. Indicates the speed. The speed indicators are different in the line cards.
