To remove or install a drive, you must first remove the front drive bezel. CAUTION: Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system cover and access any of the components inside the system. Before performing any procedure, see your Product Information Guide for complete information about safety precautions, working inside the computer and protecting against electrostatic discharge. Removing the Front Drive Bezel 1 Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet. 2 Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 41. Front Drive Bezel
The front drive bezel is the cover for the optional diskette and 5.25-inch drives. To remove or install a
drive, you must first remove the front drive bezel.

Removing the Front Drive Bezel

Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.

Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 41.
NOTE:
The sliding plate secures and releases the front drive bezel and helps to secure the drives.
