Figure 157 Locking the Retaining Latch of the 2U System Board Tray Node blank The server node blank should be installed when a node bay in the server is not populated with a node, so as to prevent improper cooling and thermal shutdown. WARNING: Failure to install a node blank wherever a node is removed from the server could result in the server shutting down. The following replacement procedures of the node blank use the 1U node as examples. To remove the node blank: 1. Press the locking latch on the node blank to release the node blank from the server.
