Parts and their functions (continued) 10.RS-422 connector This RS-422 connector (RJ‑45) is connected when exercising serial control over the unit from an external device. Use a cable with the following specifications for the connection to this connector. Furthermore, by shorting the R-TALLY signal (2-pin) with the GND (1-pin), it is possible to light the tally lamp (red) in the camera head section of the unit. • Do not connect PoE cable to the RS-422 port. • Do not apply a voltage to the R_TALLY_IN signal pin. • Menu settings enable the output to pin 7 and pin 8 of the red tally and green tally signals received by the unit. This RS-422 connector (RJ-45) is connected when exercising serial
control over the unit from an external device. Use a cable with the
following specifications for the connection to this connector.
