Using an External Keyboard (LF-X1 only) Using an External Keyboard (LF-X1 only) 2 Select an entry field with the stylus and enter characters with the connected keyboard. To move to another entry field, use the stylus to select the new field or tab. You can connect an external keyboard (not supplied) to the USB port on the right side of the monitor. With an external keyboard connected, the on-screen keyboard does not appear. Note that some keyboards may not work with the LocationFreeTV. 1 Connect the external keyboard. Connect an external keyboard (not supplied) to the USB port on the right side of the monitor (1 page 10). When connecting an external keyboard, be sure to attach the ferrite core as shown below. External Keyboard Key Esc Tab Ctrl + A Ctrl + X Ctrl + C Ctrl + V Shift + T/R/t/r Key function Quit text entry Switch to next entry field. Select all Cut Copy Paste Highlight in the direction indicated. Entering Characters Appr. 1 in. Ferrite core (supplied) Note • You cannot connect and use a keyboard that only has a PS/2 connector. • You cannot connect and use a keyboard equipped with a USB hub. • Do not connect a keyboard to the USB port on the base station. 119
